The No.5 was making his first appearance in a red shirt since pre-season after recovering from a back operation, and enjoyed a 68 minute run-out for John McMahon's side.
"It is good to be back and it felt good to be back on the pitch again," Agger told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"It is always frustrating when you are out injured and can't play football, so to get back out there again was great.
"I knew in pre-season that my back wasn't right so I had to get the problem sorted. I set myself the target to be back around this time and so I'm happy.
"I will keep working hard and do everything I can to help the team and get back in the side as soon as possible."
John McMahon's side put in an impressive performance at the City of Manchester Stadium as goals from David Ngog and Steven Irwin gave the young Reds a 2-0 win.
"I enjoyed it and I think everybody did well and we had a good mentality out there," added Agger.
Ah Ben could be playing a 5-3-1-1 formation tomorrow against chelsea.
Lucas will be in the center and the wasteful link.
Ah Ben is know to be a coward and may play a defensive back to contain chelsea.
Hope he can inspire his players to play better.
If the players decided not to play, he is also useless.
Thank goodness Agger didn't choose to retire and instead fight on. Much like how Gerrard fought against his persistent back injury when he was younger. Hopefully Agger emulate's his captain's footsteps ler!

why not johnson + agger + carra + skrtel + insua. then the 2 wingbacks can attack
That's like old school Liverpool! I like. Interplay between 5-3-2 and 3-5-2.
Btw, 5-3-2, that's how Liverpool brought home the 5th Champions League cup rite?. ; )
he played whole match for Denmark - sure fit liao!
great news/booster for our defence!
