This afternoon Inter and Chelsea will meet to continue discussing the possible transfer of Portuguese duo Ricardo Carvalho and Deco to the Serie A outfit, according to Sky Sport 24.
These two players did not enjoy positive seasons at Stamford Bridge last term, both suffering from injuries and poor form, and hence both are keen to find a new challenge.
Chelsea are reportedly asking for €14 million for the pair, in cash only, meaning no player swap will be taking place. It had been rumoured that the Blues were looking for Nicolas Burdisso to move in their direction, or that they would include their players in a bid for Brazilian right-back Maicon.
Should the negotiations prove successful, Carvalho and Deco would reunite with former coach Jose Mourinho in an effort to win the Champions League, just as they managed at Porto in 2004.
Yesterday, the Nerazzurri finally completed the signing of striker Diego Milito from Genoa and are now looking to improve in other areas of the pitch.
