  Former Liverpool manager Roy Evans believes Rafael Benitez can bring the Premier League title to Anfield.
  
  Benitez celebrates five years in charge today (Tuesday) having joined the club in 2004.
  
  Liverpool have enjoyed FA Cup and Champions League success under the Spaniard, and having run Manchester United close in the title race last season, Evans predicts a glorious future on Merseyside.
  
  "I definitely think Rafa is the man to bring the title back to Anfield," he told Liverpoolfc.tv.
   
  "His five years at the club have been very successful; winning the Champions League in his first season here and the FA Cup the following year.
   
  "Obviously the Premier League title is the one everyone wants, but I think we made a fantastic challenge this year.
   
  "We've progressed year after year under him and hopefully next season will be the one that takes us back into the history books."
  
  Despite narrowly falling short in the Premier League last season, Liverpool defeated United both home and away, and Benitez declared the gap between the two to be closing yesterday.

  On theory yes .....cos we had improve alot year by year .

  To get 80+ points and yet still runner's up , it's something Rafa still puzzled at .

  To review what happened , we had drawn too much matches at home .

  We must win at least 3 more matches at home next season , compared to the last season's .

  It doesn't matter how others fare , back to basic , we mustn't drop points at home .

  80 plus points is not enough to be champions now, last time can. you need to get 90 points at least.

  Alonso and Mas is not going anywhere. Stop making stupid assumptions.

   

  Even though there is a chance of Alonso going, I firmly believe mascherano will stay. There is no way Liverpool will lose both players.
