FIVE REASONS WHY TITLE IS LIVERPOOL'S
1 RAFA BENITEZ
Nobody plots individual matches better than Rafa but eight games in two months will allow the Spaniard to show he knows how to manage a season. Benitez has won a title from the big guns before, when Valencia pipped Barcelona and Real Madrid to lift La Liga.
2 STEVEN GERRARD & JAMIE CARRAGHER
The side's heart and soul - they know just how much it would mean to end that 19-year wait for the title. Gerrard has been an inspiration all season, while Carragher epitomises Scouse conviction and passion.
3 FERNANDO TORRES
The Spaniard has had an injuryscarred campaign but his movement remains magical. He's come on in leaps and bounds from the man known more for his misses than his goals at Atletico Madrid.
4 ANFIELD
The Kop are Liverpool's extra man and are set to pick the players up and carry them over the line like they used to in those European glory nights of the 70s and 80s.
5 FIXTURES
The Reds have a kinder run-in than United and even the hardest game, against Arsenal, comes with them having rested over the FA Cup semi-final weekend, three days earlier.
FIVE REASONS WHY UNITED COULD BLOW IT
1 NERVES
They looked a shoo-in two weeks ago but now the pressure is on and United could lose a title that really was theirs for the taking. Fergie went through the same thing in 1998 as Arsenal won their first crown under Arsene Wenger.
2 DISCIPLINE
Recent red cards for Nemanja Vidic, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney mean all three will be missing against Aston Villa. Referees will have noted the snarling aimed at Phil Dowd on Saturday and will clamp down harder than before.
3 CRISTIANO RONALDO
Unstoppable last term but his on-field bickering with teammates, opponents and referees is turning the Portuguese back into Public Enemy No.1. Unless he gets his act together it could be destabilising.
4 OLD TRAFFORD
The stadium is more intimidating than the fans and back- to-back defeats will add to the edginess against Villa in a fortnight. Fans are prone to get on the players' backs when things aren't going well.
5 FIXTURES
United are still competing on three fronts and have a much tougher league run-in than Liverpool, including Arsenal and Spurs at home, and desperate Middlesbrough away.
fuck la , all paper talk ..... Liverpool very unpredictable , one moment can score 10+ goals , next moment can be winless for 2 months , not scoring for 4 weeks etc nonsense ....
A few months ago , if we beat the teams like Sunderland , Stoke , Fulham etc midtable teams and relegation team like Boro , the season is over as far as points is concern .
2 reason man u will win the league.
1 game in hand
1 point ahead
If Man Utd's fans still think they have a chance .... let me tell them one worry ....
Congested fixtures for United .
Fa Cup Final .... UCL vs Porto for 2 legs .... plus the remaining BPL fixtures , and also , the 3 red cards ...
Unless Berbatov can be Eric Cantona , who single-handedly won them the Title a few seasons back ... i am not so sure if without Rooney , Berbatov can contribute as much as Rooney .
Without Rooney , it's not a secret opposition just need to man-mark Ronaldo !!! The goal will not comeby easily .

From 7 points and 1 game in hand to what they are now..god knows what will happen again..
I thiink this season gonna be exciting.
let see how the next few match go first.
No need bother about man u
Jus concern abt liverpool
if pool dun screw up the next 3 BPL match, i think there might be some nice show to catch. If pool screw up the next 3 match, cannot get 9 point out of them, i think they still need more time.
Toward end of season, it a test physically n mentality. Now it time to see which team has better mentaliy.
Pool or united to have better chance of winning title? let wait and see at End-April.
if some fans still thinking Chelsea and Arsenal still has got a chance .... in winning the Title ..... think again , no clubs in British won any title if they change manager in the middle of the season .... i think Chelsea gone case , as for Arsenal , points wise , they are too far from the top . Unless all 3 , Chelsea / Lpool / Mu all fuck up the last remaining matches .
Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel believes Manchester United could crumble under the pressure as the end of the season draws near.
The Reds beat United 4-1 at Old Trafford nearly two weeks ago to start their title charge and with Sir Alex Ferguson's men dropping more points at Fulham, the gap at the top is now down to a point.
United still have their game in hand but the 24-year-old defender, who will play against England in the friendly with Slovakia on Saturday, is confident that the league leaders can slip up again.
"I think yes, because there are eight games left or so," he told deniksport.cz. "They are also in the UEFA Champions League. A lot of points are still up for grabs, and although they have a match against Portsmouth in hand, they will not have it easy against them.
"I just hope that we will stay in-form, they will slip-up and we will jump over them in the table."
Despite thumping Villa at Anfield on Sunday, Skrtel insists Martin O'Neill's top four hopefuls, Aston Villa, can spring a surprise when they visit United after the international break.
"It will not be an easy game for them. Aston Villa are still aiming for a Champions League spot and will not give them anything easy," he added. "We will see. It would be great if they could play better than against us and steal a point or three from United."
The Slovakian international also expressed his delight that Benitez had finally signed a new contract, after expressing his view that he had improved as a player under the Spaniard.
"It is good for us players as well as for the fans and the whole club, because Benitez has done a great piece of work during his time at Liverpool," he explained. "He is enormously popular here and I think that he is a coach of great qualities. He has also helped me personally.
"He has taught me a lot. Thanks to him we work a lot on tactics and game discipline. I have improved in both aspects."
Meanwhile, winger Albert Riera says confidence is growing in the camp that they can beat United to the title.
"Liverpool are playing really, really well in this moment," Riera told Sky Sports News. "The season is really, really complicated and you have to play well and the reality is you have to play ten months at the highest level and sometimes it is very, very difficult.
"For example we started really well, we were on the top of the table. After December and January we had some problems making a lot of draws at home but not losing.
"I think we were just not playing really well and the other teams wanted to beat who was top of the table that we were before. Now we are in a different position, but in a great position to fight for the title.
"We are one point behind Manchester United and we are really confident that this is the most important time."
Riera believes the pressure is on United after losing their last two games and he insists Liverpool will fight to the end to try and bring the championship back to Anfield.
"The feelings on the pitch are really well and we are in a great situation to fight and when you are behind somebody I think the pressure is for the other team," added Riera.
"Of course we have to wait as they are still in front of us, but we have a lot of confidence in ourselves and really good feelings.
"They are one point in front of us and have to play one match more than us as well, but the next two months we have a lot of important matches in the Premier League and Champions League, matches with a lot of pressure and we will be there waiting that they will not win every single match.
"We have to win every single match and I promised a long time ago we would fight for title and this is the promise we can do because to fight is compulsory and we will see at the end.
"We have a lot of confidence, a lot of good feelings and we will see what happens at the end of the season."
Villa without Heskey for the match against United , bad news ..... hope John Carew come back from Norway fit .... he's the only one left in the centre forward role ..oh heskey heskey ...
Martin Skrtel believes united could crumble.....haha such irony. He's the reason why liverpool will crumble.
This international break is actually a good way for Man U to halt it's run of bad form. I just don't believe Alex Ferguson, being a winner and having strong karma for 20 years, would let liverpool pip them like how arsenal did in the 90s.
Take away Rooney and Ronaldo, Man U will still be title contenders. Take away Gerrard and Torres, Pool maybe struggling for 4th place.
Hahaha kekekeke

haha...take away Red Card Rooney and Falling Ronaldo, ofcoz Man U can be title contender lah
Liverpool have no cushion for injury.
They have to throw away the CL match to focus on the EPL match.
Whether Man Utd will flop ?
Nope, I dun think a good team can be lousy overnight.
Unless Villa dealt another blow to Man Utd, Man Utd will win.
As for Liverpool, they are ya ya too early so they will enjoy a stalemate tomorrow.
If I am Fulham coach, I will park 5 defenders and 5 midfielders in front of goal and see how you can break through.
Liverpool show its immaturity for the last few weeks.
I really wish Liverpool players will not talk so much and concentrate on playing every game like how they played against Man U.
Many times you'll see big mouths getting the more undesirable results.
Let the score do the talking....
I'm a man u fan.....and i watched last night liverpool play fulham. Wah lau.....liverpool really played like champions, they fought till the end. Their attack and movement is fantastic, even better than chelsea.
With torres and gerrard, this liverpool can dominate the world. I'm not too sure now if man u can retain the EPL crown, let alone CL.

to be really accurate, MU is not even best in EPL.
Liverpool is tops with 18 titles, and 5 UCL.
MU is chasing that.
Real Madrid has an even scary history. and they just got KAKA.
