Full-back Alvaro Arbeloa, who pulled out of last weekend's win at Manchester United with a hamstring problem, is expected to return to Liverpool's side.
Midfielder Xabi Alonso (ankle) and winger Yossi Benayoun (hamstring), also have a good chance of being involved.
Aston Villa striker John Carew is pushing for a start after scoring as a substitute against Stoke and Tottenham.
Midfielder Steve Sidwell and defender Wilfred Bouma are in line for a return after recovering from ankle problems.

If you look at Villa, results are going against them, they are struggling to score and, would you believe, their own supporters booed them last week which I find quite amazing as they've had a fine season.
With all that in mind I'm going for a Liverpool victory."

Expect something like 3-0 bah, I foresee a thrashing for Villa. But whats important is 3 more points in the bag, thats for sure.

aston villa is hard to beat. If liverpool fail to win this one, they can kiss goodbye to the title race. If they win, they can still cling on to the small hope.

The Villians feeling the 10sion now ..... they never being into this before , the lads obviously cannot handle the mental stress those last burst can cause , unlike Arsenal , Chelsea and Liverpool , plus Champions United , all been thru this all since the beginning of the UCL .

Of course i would say Villa , can caused major problems to us , especially with that Norwegian tower fella John Carew , plus Emile Heskey , their aerial threats can caused our 2 centre halves of Skrtel and Carra some headaches . I think Hyypia will play ahead of Skrtel .
Or maybe Rafa will stick to the winning combination .

Im surprised the 3-0 scoreline only offers $11, thats really low. Previously I had taken Liverpool to wipe Man Utd 4-1 at a whopping $150, was really on cloud 9 when I collected the thick wads of cash. Then went to try my luck at horse racing on wednesday, lost a whopping $1170+. Alamak, I think I am going to stop betting on horses.

if they win, then its a bonus. if they don't get anything out of it, u can tell yourself that its normal

villa will need to beat pool to stay level on points with arsenal. I bet villa is desperate now as well. However, if liverpool tries really hard, they should still beat villa.

Against a team of young vigorous atheleticism like Villa, the Kops has to take their chances - no two ways about it. They will have chances but if they fail to capitalize, that's it for them. They have to prove that they are worthy to succeed the other Reds.
When Liverpool plays, you don't bet! They could just prove you wrong - everytime!

The players from Merseyside they has to understand , at this stage of the season , they must be professional enough , not to slip at the last moment .
Now when chances arise , they must be pro enough to gain back the initiatives .
