vs
1st leg at Goodison !
Sat, early kick-off (7.45pm). Live Ch-27
Winners get Michael Owen :D
Henry for Liverpool, Mouse for Everton.
All Settled !
Good, can catch qualifying for F 1
Going to miss the match on TV .... first derby match i ever missed in my entire life i think .
It's ok .... not as interesting as the MU /Liverpool match .
Nor exciting , or fiery !
But i cannot forget those derbies .... in the late 80's and early 90's .
Cos the league , the winner , either from the blue side of Merseyside , or the red side .
Only once , the winner is from London .
After that , Liverpool went down down down ....... until now .
Everton ....under Howard Kendall .... i admire alot .
I can still remember their lineup .
Southall
Kevin Ratcliff , their skipper
Alan Harper
Kevin Sheedy , Kevin Bracewell , Peter Reid , Gary Linekar , Heath ..... and a few more ....
Gary Linekar , this man , i think , it's England's Best Ever striker .
English i meant , Ian Rush is Welsh .
Woooo...
0-2
:D
A very good performance by the boys in the Red corner ...
Especially Torres , time and time again , he was tormented by the fabulous Lescott ... he just never give up , kept on chasing for our 1000th Premiership goals .... he got 2 !!!! That make it 999th , just one more , we'll get our 1000th , after Mu and Arsenal ....
Everton just got no idea who hit them .... our defense is fantastic , our midfield are in cruise control .... their best player against us last season , Tim Cahill , just lost his cool .
I think we got what we needed last season .... clinical finishing and left wing .
the difference is clear .... the money we spent !
Torres , Skrtel , Agger , Riera , the wages of Gerrard , dirk Kuyt , Robbie Keane , and the ever reliable Reina .
I thought that we played decent yesterday.
Both of Torres goals were a result of some perseverence on our side but also some poor poor defending on Everton.
Leaving Torres unmarked in the 18 yard box is asking for trouble and they did it for both goals.
However it's a win in a merseyside derby and I'm happy.
Cheers!

p.s : I thought cahill's tackle on alonso was a straight red at first when I saw it but after I saw the replay, I think it should have just been a yellow card.
great result. torres did what is matters most. good strikers may not have a single shot on goal, but when they are given the opportunity, they took it.
the unsung hero here is dirk kyut, who made all the space available for the 23 million striker to end his mini goal drought. though he is still not playing like footballer, him making a nuisance provide all the time torres needed. and i still think keane and kyut should swop position.
great team performance? maybe not. though i like how fast they move the ball in the first half and those sleek one-two, opening up space for one another. continue dazzle the fans with that.
till now, liverpool owes their favourable results by capitalising opposition blunders, which is slightly not convincing as a title contender.
on any other day when the luck element is not present against a well-prepared team, liverpool will still frustrate the fans.
i still believe in the saying that champion can win the game even on their off day, rather than winning the game only on other's off day.
