Liverpool are ready to offer Jermaine Pennant in their bid for Blackburn Rovers midfielder David Bentley in a £12m swoop (The People)
Sounds like an interesting deal. Mark Hughes seems keen to keep hold of the former Arsenal man who is practically an assist making machine. Will this swap do the trick, I am not sure. I think the cash element of the deal may have to be quite hefty. However imagine how many more goals El Nino could manage with someone other than Steve G providing the killer pass!

HOWEVER...Quaresma would be much cheaper if Porto got relegated, or wait awhile more for Joaquin to say "i wana go Liverpool!"
