I'm not very sure of this.. but i tried several numbers to verify..
given any number.. when u shuffle it and take the difference..
e.g. 4132 - 1324 = 2808
then, take the sum of individual numbers..
e.g. 2+8+0+8=18
if the number is double digit, add the two digits to form a single number,
e.g. 1+8
the results is always 9..
hence from this property we can always calculate backwards to guess the number you circled..
for example the number 2808.. if you circle 2..
and u typed in 808 or 88 in the box.. 8+8+0=16
from here 1+6=7
ask shown just now that the end result is always 9.. we can deduce the number circle is 9-7=2
i believe this property applies to any length of numbers..
