<Sometimes they claim it is good for losing weight or helping the
digestive system. It is often claimed to be full of vitamins and minerals that any knob gobbling person would be a fool to spit out.
The things a person will say for their lover to swallow the sacred juice are endless.
So... What really is in semen?
The average dose of semen contains sperm of course. Usually around 1 in 337 is going to be sperm. The rest is mostly fructose sugar and water. The last of the ingredients are ascorbic acid , citric acid, protein, enzymes, some zink and phosphate and bicarbonate buffers.
About 5 to 7 calories per ejaculation is the average, so it isn't
fattening. One cool thing you guys can claim is that, not only is semen a source of vitamin C (It's a very low source) but, it actually contains just a bit less protein than that found in an egg.
So if you know any vegetarian women out there who don't get enough proteins maybe you can help.

Besides the protein and vitamin C, small amounts of B 12, Zink,
potassium, magnesium, and calcium are present. The problem being is that these are in such low quantities you can't really go with the "Just like a multi vitamin claim"

Yep. Semen contains several mood altering hormones, including
testosterone, oestrogen and prolactin. Regular doses of semen will supply these much needed mood altering hormons
to your partner. The catch on this one if you are trying to use these facts for promoting the "swallow" is that these hormons may be absorbed through other membrain tissue as well. The inner vaginal wall for example.
Conclusion.... Semen is a wonderfuly healthy and good for you substance, but... not "good enough" to use it's health value as a reason to "swallow". And another thing to add, the taste of semen varies with the type of food your guy takes.
Citrus fruits = sweet semen
Onion, garlic= Pungent
Spices = bitter.....
