Don't scare her by bringing her to your parents on first date. This is like driving your relationship with her to the grave.
Go movie or have a meal are very safe to do on first date. Pubbing is not bad except that it is noisy and you and her may not be able to hear each other. Oops, wait, unless you go to one that has less noise. The Atrium Lounge at Marina Mandarin has nice ambience and music from piano and some singing . A nice place which is not sleazy. Here you can hear what each other talk.
