hhhhmm, i do know of some ladies who kind of pretend to say "oh it's ok, we'll split the bill" but deep inside is hope the guy pays for it all and if the guy really took their word for it,then it's game over for them. maybe those guys tht went out with you have met such ladies and was just being cautious? once bitten, twice shy.
anyway, from a lady's POV, how far should guys take tht statement "oh it's ok, we'll split the bill"? how do we know the lady really meant it or is just pretending only?
for me, i'll reject but if the lady really keep insisting, then i'll take up the "offer"
hahahaha oh yeah i know that. its the no-means-yes, yes-means-no kind of thing right? i guess that just depends on the girl's personality, and whether she's the kind who would say "no its okay we'll go dutch" but in her mind is thinking "@#$%^& there goes my money.". it really depends. if you ever had that kind of thing happen to you, then dont go out with the girl anymore la. cos if she's expecting you to pay but says otherwise, she's going to be thinking that for the next 12 dates, to be honest.
i've not had that problem in the past at all, before even reaching the cafe/restaurant, i'd grab his arm & just casually say "we have to go dutch ok? we must." and that's it. lol. so far the guys just laugh and agree, they haven't said "what?! no i must pay!" or any shit like that.
I will always go dutch...I think its fair. If the gal can't handle this, so be it!
