  i noticed my gc8v is kinda slow. esp on usui. to me the pickup is damn slow. can feel it crawling to gearshift rpms. then the acceleration at starting is so slow that most of the time i manage to shift at the correct rpm. where for other cars, the rpm rises so fast i either shift too early or too late for the 1st to 2nd gear.
  
  then today played with my friend...complete story mode and won bunta twice on akina(i think)
  
  i play with him using r34 and ae86...kanna trash by him left right centre through and through....
  
  i was lagging behind at -1000m+
  
  he using a rx7 39k+ points
  for my ae86 69+ points

  Did you crash somewhere along the track? It's common to get this type of distance between opponents if one of them crash and the other drove properly. Doesn't need to be fast, just need to do everything right.
  
  But I don't think the GC8V is slow on Usui. Actually it's pretty fast. In either direction, when you reach the first turn, your speed should already be at least 165.

  GC8V is very fast on Usui...after the Sileighty, the 180SX and the GC8V are the fastest cars on Usui..

  i can easily get 165 with my ae86
  and i seem to perform better using ae86 than gc8v though using gc8v reduces the distance between my friend and i...

  Well you said it yourself, when you use the GC8V, the distance isn't so great. So wouldn't it mean that the GC8V performs better? I guess it's a matter of being used to the driving style. You're probably better or rather more comfortable with an AE86 than the GC8V so your view is that the AE86 would be better.

  I think you should stick to driving 1 car until you are familiar with it rather than alternate between cars. Can be very confusing because of having to switch driving styles.
