Any comments on the Toyota MR-S? I used to drive the GC8V and got sick of it because cannot use the points to buy custom parts. So I thought of trying the MR-S. Kind of like it but the backside like to fly all over. Any experts in driving this car, can give tips?

thinking of getting MR-2 also.....cos heard that its good if u know how 2 use it

Yeah that's what my friend told me too. He's driving an MR-2 with the tune that has an air intake on the top of his car. Quite funny looking but really fast. Heng@, do you know the what's the difference or what they do for the number of wheel spokes on the sport rims? Some have just 5 or 6 while some got 4 pairs. Also what the colors mean? Previous posts mention gold color better for rain while the white/silver better for dry. What about black? -

Sorry this maybe out of topic but regarding MR-2 very drifty n hard to control ... tends to understeers alot n very fun to play wif in wet conditions cause very slippery ...lol... abit like Kopi car

The MR-S is a drifty car. Made worse in the wet. But the car has a great chance of winning battles in:
a) Akina down
b) Usui right
both dry.
Akagi i guess would be 50-50 against other cars aside from the Rx7 and the integra.
Parts not to use:
a) VOLK racing rims. Gold ones. These makes the car even driftier. (Not personal experience but from my friend who only uses the MR-S)

So MR-2 n MR-S which is the better one to choose ? all 5 gear right ?

Both MRS and MR2 also quite nice to drive leh. True on the being driftier.

Overall in the dry, the MR2 performs very slightly better than the MR-S. But in the wet, the MR-S will have an edge over the MR2.

Oh great, that means I still suck at Akina, I still get 3.01 for Akina down although I get 2.25 at Akagi up. And yeah the VOLK gold rims do make the car driftier. I changed to the Watanabe black ones. Not sure what it does but it was the first rim offer to make the car less driftier and I took it. That day bought a MR-S by accident then went to play then found that the car drifts more than MR-2 i think both cars got its good n bad points

Argh no, top speed for MR-S is only 202 on Myogi!!. Can't seem to go higher.
Anyone know MR-2's top speed? -
actually MR-S can be quite hilarious to drive if u know how to drive it well.

Yeah I'm sure. I'm now at 850k points and actually I can only reach 201. Only after about 15 -20 seconds later then it go up to 202 then must do the turn already. Currently, I can take the corner at about 191 without hitting the mountain. I'm stepping on the brake pretty hard to get the car to be more stable. Dun know if got better technique for MR-S to handle this turn. But definitely cannot accelerate anymore during the turn.
