Module Grade

a) How to calculate? Some say its 50/50 UT and daily grade. Some say its 30/70. I believe it's the former. I hope.
b) What is moderation? Is it only to increase the module grade when there are many students who did badly. Let's say my predicted grade is D, after moderation, will I surely be D+ or is there a chance that I'll be getting E/F?
c) You get D for module grade; you still pass as long as GPA >2 rite?
I'm Year 3 but still...

2. Moderation will improve your grade if a lot do badly. If a lot do well, you can expect it to fall

Two more questions:
My Module grade I calculated to be around 1.6. So do I get D, D+ or C?
UT is 3/4 tests, right? So let's say I have 1C, 1X, 1E, 1A...they'll take the C, E, A right? -
Depends, for my case, its 60/40 in STA. Things like arts and filming cant be determined by tests, which is why daily grade carries more weight. For courses like science or IT, most probably 50/50 as test works well.

I took Arts Appreciation, and two of the UTs are art-based. Lucky, my first one got A. But I'm planning not to do the other one. That's why I asked this qns. -

Yes. However, this doesn't guarantee that your GPA will be more than 2.0. If it falls less than 2.0, all your D and D+ modules have to be re-taken, including your failed modules (those that scored an E or F). No arguments about that.
It's not an either or requirement, it's an AND requirement. Module grade no less than 1.0 AND GPA no less than 2.0. -

Not really sure for the criteria for FYP, but for CE and PP, if you fail, stay back for another year or semester to re-do.
As most will say, it's a joke to stay back to do those modules. And you pay to do those that are actually FOC. -
but CE and PP is only pass or fail, no gpa weightage.. since you are already in yr final semester, you should have completed both of them already..
