1. There's also 60/40Originally posted by apoolbahari88:a) How to calculate? Some say its 50/50 UT and daily grade. Some say its 30/70. I believe it's the former. I hope.
b) What is moderation? Is it only to increase the module grade when there are many students who did badly. Let's say my predicted grade is D, after moderation, will I surely be D+ or is there a chance that I'll be getting E/F?
c) You get D for module grade; you still pass as long as GPA >2 rite?
I'm Year 3 but still...
Answers please. thanks
you cant be sure, because they might moderate it based on the whole cohort's result.Originally posted by apoolbahari88:One more question:
My Module grade I calculated to be around 1.6. So do I get D, D+ or C?
yeah they take best 3 out of 4...Originally posted by apoolbahari88:So, UT is 3/4 tests, right? So let's say I have 1C, 1X, 1E, 1A...they'll take the C, E, A right?
I took Arts Appreciation, and two of the UTs are art-based. Lucky, my first one got A. But I'm planning not to do the other one. That's why I asked this qns.
Thanks manOriginally posted by ChingAlvin:yeah they take best 3 out of 4...
no problem! u took arts appreciation, u also sta?Originally posted by apoolbahari88:Thanks man
I'm in SAS. I was a former STA member but I changed course. How's life down there?Originally posted by ChingAlvin:no problem! u took arts appreciation, u also sta?
I think sta is really fun as we really go creative and do what we like.Originally posted by apoolbahari88:I'm in SAS. I was a former STA member but I changed course. How's life down there?

No idea.Originally posted by apoolbahari88:Paiseh. One very last qn.
With or without moderation, do they round up or round down ur module grade?
Thanks for answeringOriginally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:No idea.
So it's like saying in order to graduate, your module grade must be >= 1.0 and your GPA >= 2.0 right?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Yes. However, this doesn't guarantee that your GPA will be more than 2.0. If it falls less than 2.0, all your D and D+ modules have to be re-taken, including your failed modules (those that scored an E or F). No arguments about that.
It's not an either or requirement, it's an AND requirement. Module grade no less than 1.0 AND GPA no less than 2.0.
Don't forget to add FYP, CE and PP.Originally posted by apoolbahari88:So it's like saying in order to graduate, your module grade must be >= 1.0 and your GPA >= 2.0 right?
My current GPA is 3.04, and since this is my last semester, I've calculated mine to fall to 2.8, my final GPA. So I think I'm safe.
me too!Originally posted by xneutralz:but CE and PP is only pass or fail, no gpa weightage.. since you are already in yr final semester, you should have completed both of them already..
and GOOD LUCK for fyp presentation ... its going to be overr soon. haha....
*i cant wait..
