Information technology need some details

i am from ITE info com sector, currently doing my first year.
i would like to know if entering the IT course in republic poly would be hard when i complete my nitec.
i would also like to know which admission should i apply.
i currently planing now so that i can proceed further on my studies.currently doing very well on my 2 semester's.
i am now a student councellor and community service cca.
would i stand higher chance?
i hope to seek some information or details about my thread from all of you proffessional's. thank you! -
Come RP ar, the chance is almost 100% if you got good GPA. But I would not recommend you to come RP because RP uses PBL(Problem-Based Learning) Method which is relatively still new.
Trust me bro, chose NP or SP. Their Diplomas are more recognized.

i heard RP has alot of presentation, i really love presentation and currently my presentation i got full mark and impressed the lecturers in my course.
but i am more on ngee ann poly just want to know that is the vacancies for the poly are open. i scared that some poly vacancies has been taken so i trying to find other poly which has it ^^ -
I called them and ask about vacancies issueses on each course. They told me that in each course, they'll 'set aside' some seat for student from other admissions. They also added that one must do very well in order to get the places.Originally posted by fanaticX:ic

gosh thats cool. serious u called them? wow i am impress that you really help me to the max thx alot.
then i'll try my very very best to do my best. competing with afew campus of info com's shouldn't be a problem but with jc and eletronic department hmm haha. nvm i think i'll focus on getting a gpa of 3.6 to be safer. -

Seriously, ii get sick of doing ppt everyday too.
Same situation as darkness, which i got bored of doing ppt after 2 weeks. -

power point quite fun haha enjoying your creativity and increase presentation skill.
haha as long its computer i have alot of fun. maybe its because of my passion and my talent haha.
but the poly i really want to enter is ngee ann haha cause i been there, its near, quite peaceful not so noisy.
republic poly is like a secondary choice haha. but i hopyfully made it to ngee ann or any poly will do.

If you are a pure IT student, most likely you will be admitted into a pure IT course in RP as well.
For pure IT courses in RP, you can choose to specialize in Multimedia, Wireless, Networking and Security.
Multimedia and Security might branch off to another diploma of their own given their popularity in RP. So don't be surprised about that when you are about to join us once you graduate.
If you studied some business modules as well, you might be interested in Business Computing or Business Applications. -

Well, my advice is balance interest and future.
Interest may spur you on, but won't earn you a living. -
i want join IT which study all kind of programming languages website script such as ASP, ASP.NET and more ++. learn abit of server's here and there would also be good. i see information technology is almost similar to it. but correct me if i'm wrong.

If yes, RP do have that course, but our Year 1 is not what you expect...
Diploma in Info Tech course structure
Look under Core General. That will be your first year modules.
If you are OK with this, and is considering RP, you will be interested in Networking and Security specialization once you reach Year 3.
